Zarganar Released From Prison
The famous Burmese comedian Zarganar was released from prison this morning, October 12, 2011. Thus, he was among the first 120 prisoners who benefited from the state amnesty that the Burmese government will grant to more than 6000 prisoners as the state controlled media announced only yesterday.
CINEMA FOR PEACE CELEBRATES Universal Logo for Human Rights
New York – The world finally has a logo for human rights. Cinema for Peace held a celebratory dinner and charity auction on September 23 at Guastavino’s in New York City following the unveiling of the first Universal Logo for Human Rights, after the worldwide community selected the winner out of more than 15 000 submissions from more than 190 countries.
