Screening of Taxi to the Dark Side: An analysis of US accountability and Guantanamo litigation

On Monday October 19th, in Kant Kino, Berlin, were held two panel discussions followed by the screening of the film Taxi to the Dark Side on Guantanamo and torture. The event gathered more than 300 viewers and was organized by the Cinema for Peace Foundation in cooperation with the ECCHR - European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights.

Screening of UNTOUCHABLE : CHILDREN OF GOD

We would like to invite you to the Film Screening and Panel Discussion of UNTOUCHABLE: CHILDREN OF GOD. The documentary shows the abuse of young girls in the brothels of India and how they are sold and kidnapped from neighboring Nepal to India. The average age of the girls is 13 years, and only 1% of children can escape ever or be rescued. The film shows stories of hope and tells of people who risk their lives to save the children and protect them.

Panel Discussions and Film Screening of TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE

On Monday October 19th', in cooperation with the ECCHR - European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, were held two pannel discussions on Guantanmo Bay and torture followed by the screening of Taxi to the Dark Side' (2007) . This film examines the American policy on torture and interrogation in general, and specifically the CIA's use of torture and their research into sensory deprivation. It includes arguments opposing the use of torture on political and military opponents, as well as defenses of such methods, attempts by the congress to uphold the standards of the Geneva Convention forbidding torture, and popularization of the use of torture techniques in shows like the TV series '24'.
