"Crisis in Congo: Uncovering the Truth"

More than five million people of eastern Congo have been killed since the conflict began, making it the worst crisis area in the world. Analysts in the film examine whether U.S. corporate and government policies that support strongmen and prioritize profit over the people have contributed to and exacerbated the tragic instability in the heart of Africa.

A family portrait that unfolds against the wider drama of war, and explores the long-term and often hidden effects of war on women and families. Rose Mapendo and her family offer a lesson in what it means to become an active advocate for a peaceful and hopeful future.
